Mr Rahim Nasir

He is the Chief Executive of Ayesha Spinning Mills Limited and the Executive Director of Ayesha Group of Companies while also currently serving as Chairman of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association.

Mr. Abdul Rahim Nasir, was born and raised in Lahore and obtained his degree in Finance from the prestigious Bentley University in Massachusetts, USA. He is well versed in the nuance of the textile industry and the contributions it makes to the national economy.

Mr Rahim feels immense pleasure to serve as a chairman of the country’s leading trade organization which seeks to improve the output of the textile industry by creating growth in a manner that is sustainable, not only for the environment but the socio-economic needs of the country. Despite the economic issues and hurdles faced during the Covid pandemic, the industry has proven to have the potential to address the economic challenges faced by Pakistan. The key to economic stability within the textile industry lies in the promise of continuous availability of regionally competitive energy tariffs, for industrial expansion that will aid the country in competing in the international arena. APTMA aims to further enhance viable cotton market, focusing on increasing production and yield while also improving its harvest quality. This requires a favorable agroeconomic environment that can steer economic growth and empower the industrial sector by bringing in innovative research in cotton growth and harvesting in order to strengthen the textile industry, create employment and lead to growth in the economy and national GDP.
