Mr Kamran Arshad is a seasoned entrepreneur and industrial leader with over 35 years of experience in both the maritime and textile sectors. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Bachelor of Sciences in Textile Engineering from the Philadelphia University, U.S., and has been at the forefront of diverse industries, including shipping, textile manufacturing, and power generation.

International Expertise:
Kamran’s journey in the business world began with the Gulf Shipping Maritime Establishment in Abu Dhabi, UAE, a pioneering firm specializing in shipping and marine transport for the oil and gas industry. Under his leadership, the company operated a fleet of modern anchor handling tugs, supporting critical offshore operations across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, and Oman. His efforts in this sector earned the company recognition for achieving “1,000,000 accident-free hours” – a significant safety milestone awarded by the largest government-owned oil company, ADMA-OPCO.

Textile Leadership:
Returning to Pakistan, Kamran took charge of Ghazi Fabrics International Ltd. and Ghazi Power Ltd., managing end-to-end textile operations, including spinning, weaving, and power generation. These companies have established themselves as major players in the textile sector, with exports spanning the U.S., EU, China, Sri Lanka, and beyond. Ghazi Fabrics’ production capabilities include 51,072 spindles, 192 air jet looms, and 11.2 MW of power generation capacity, creating employment for over 2,000 people.

Industry Influence:
Kamran has played a critical role in Pakistan’s industrial landscape, serving in various leadership capacities, including as a member and chairman of the LESCO Board of Directors and a key figure in the APTMA Punjab Zonal Management Committee. His strategic insight and operational excellence have been instrumental in driving industrial growth and economic stability.
