CONSTITUTION OF ADVISORY COUNCIL


In pursuance of the unanimous decision of CEC taken in its first meeting held on Saturday 22 October 2016 in respect of the formation of Advisory Council of APTMA, the constitution of an Advisory Council with the following initial composition is hereby notified: 

1.   Mr. Gohar Ejaz                         President
2.   Mr. Nadeem Maqbool             Vice President
3.   Mr. Aamir Fayyaz Sheikh        Member – Incumbent Chairman APTMA
4.   Mr. Mohsin Aziz                        Member
5.   Mr. Ahsan Bashir                      Member
6.   Mr. Yasin Siddik                       Member
7.   Mr.  SM Tanveer                       Member
8.   Mr. Tariq Saud                          Member

The Advisory Council has been constituted to enable APTMA to have access to high-quality advice for helping it in crucial decision-making particularly during the present period of lean operating conditions for sustainability and growth of the industry. Informed guidance is envisaged to be provided by the Advisory Council for the purpose of better and superior decision-making. APTMA image-building, operational protection to the textile industry in areas susceptible to unfavourable factors and the resolution of industry issues are the main objectives at present that are desired to be addressed.

 The Advisory Council is to include Members from amongst former Chairmen of APTMA. Technocrats and professionals may also be inducted on an ad hoc basis for rendering advice on specific issues. All Members of the Advisory Council are to function on an honorary basis. The President may reconstitute the Advisory Council as and when deemed appropriate.

 Terms of Reference of the Advisory Council include:

  • Work as a think tank.

  • Look after the core issues of the Association.

  • Bring about commonality of perception and harmony within the Association.

  • Balancing Act for the promotion and protection of the textile industry across the value chain and throughout the country.

  • Streamline organizational aspects of the Association.

  • Chalk out policy guidelines in the larger interest of the Association.

  • Identify and induct professionals as Advisors.
